Horror films used to have you identify with the victim, to feel the fear of being chased/stalked by a psycho, haunted by a ghost etc, etc - all from the safety of your cinema seat or home lounge. These 'extreme' films are different, they invite you to take part in the torture, killing, degradation. 'Torture Porn' is a very apt name for this stuff, even if it is over used.
People always say 'I have the right to watch anything I want', which is fine, but I find it disturbing that this type of film is being made, and that there's a hungry audience for it.
