I love Day at least as much as Dawn. It's probably Romero's best film in terms of ambition and craft coming together. The first time I watched it I was around the wee age of 11 (tut tut
) and it blew me away - and scared the hell out of me.
It's hard to believe that the film was considered a major disappointment by so many when first released.
