It's certainly rough around the edges but worked for the most part, at least for me.

Scalps is a pretty interesting crap-fest. There is a distinct lack of Native American themed horror out there so I generally have more time for films that deal with the theme (and other seldom explored ones) than the ones that just blatantly rip off ideas from more popular films to turn a quick buck - case in point I recently watched
Offerings which couldn't be more blatant in its ripping off of
Halloween if it tried; it even steals the infamous score but remixes it slightly.
I definitely prefer
The Forest over
Scalps though.
