But the boy who plays Damien in the sequel really makes the film work, getting you on his side as he finds out his fate and is shocked and confused, to coming to terms with his powers and influence and finally using them to his advantage.
A great sequel in my opinion.
I also saw it as a kid and spent most of my life really wanting a Raven familiar as a result. 
My favourite scene is the Woman/Raven/Truck part.

I enjoy the first three
Omen films, but agree that the original is the better film. Sam Neill makes for a decent Damien in
The Final Conflict.
