With HGL his films range from the awful to the surprisingly competent. They have an important part in horror history as the first 'gore movies' where onscreen carnage was the primary selling point but they are not always good movies. Blood feast for example is a very flat, badly acted film while 2000 maniacs is genuinely fun. If you have a taste for trashy exploitation then they are worth a go.
