For a seventh entry in a franchise, it’s better than it has any right to be. Also unusual at this point in a long running series, it takes it in a new exciting direction that sets up plenty of potential for future instalments. It’s rare for a horror brand that’s been relegated to home release to improve a great deal for it. The last two entries are better films than the last three cinematic releases. Although,
