in answer to my own enquiry a little research shows that this was a rough schedule of sales last year:
Eureka - Easter Sale (Apr)
Network - Sale (Jun)
HMV 2 for £15 Premium Collection (Jun)
HMV 5 for £30 Arrow (Jul)
Arrow - sale (Jul)
Eureka - Flash Sale (Aug)
HMV/Amazon Criterion sale (Aug)
Zavvi - 88 sale (Sept)
Zoom 2 for £25 Criterion (Oct)
HMV 2 for £15 Premium Collection (Dec)
Arrow - sale (Dec)
