Yes it was a disappointing adaptation of Ray Bradbury's book with some truly risible SFX. The book is in actual fact a series of short stories that make up the 'chronicles' and to be honest not the best source material for a series of this sort. Even when Bradbury writes futuristic Sf he does it with a profound undercurrent of nostalgia which the producers of this series tried but failed to capture.
PS by coincidence I've just finished reading Bradbury's short 'ghost' story
The Lake which I'd recommend to anyone to seek out... a masterpiece!
