Darkest Hour (2017)
Absolutely terrific film about Winston Churchill's rise to power and the turbulent times he had to govern through in the lead up to the Dunkirk evacuation.
Gary Oldman gives the performance of his life as Churchill in a film i never wanted to end. There's great drama, excellent performances all round, superb direction, beautiful cinematography and gripping political intrigue.
For me it's only fault was that it ended with four years of WWII remaining. We need a sequel, desperately.
