Personally i like a film to be uncut and presented in the original ratio if possible and a fairly decent print but dvd quality is fine
, i have a lot of classic films that i'm not interested in upgrading because they are perfectly watchable copies.

i'm not too worried about Blu ray copies sure they look totally spanking sometimes but it can also pinpoint defects that were not noticeable on a less sharp copy.

I still think a rough copy of Texas Chainsaw is more effective than sparkly sunshine.

Bit like how modern porn is too "enhanced" to be as sexy as girl next door 70's porn. ( or maybe it's just me, i digress)

I have numerous copies of old toss films, stuff like Vipco's "The Nostril picker" utter shite but i kinda like having a copy, i don't really need a 4K version and neither does anyone else for that matter.

Even films i love i won't upgrade if i've got a decent copy unless it's a steal and stupidly cheap.

i've lost track here really but what i'm saying is it's nice to have a juicy copy of a favourite film but sometimes grindhouse grade is better.

I'd rather spend money on a "new to me" film than a slight upgrade that is not really gonna enhance the film in any way.

Then again if you would rather watch a film constantly over and over in a cave somewhere a 4K upgrade would surely make all the difference for all of 10 minutes.

I guess what i'm saying is if u want 2 spend all your money on 10 versions of 1 film then knock yourself out.

See if i care.

My collection is a film collection i like or stuff that interests me, not a collection of a collection.

Shit me that was hard work.
