There are good and bad horror films from every decade. It just sometimes seems that the bad outweigh the good in this day and age what with advertising and social media shoving the next 'scariest film ever' down your throat 24 hours a day, coupled with the fact that anybody with an smartphone and some free editing software can make a film nowadays.
Here's a list I made of my favourite horror-ish films from 2000 onwards. It probably needs and update but there's plenty of great stuff on there.
