Cannon Films, certainly knew how to come up with greatest ideas for what now seems pretty bizarre, but back then seemed the norm. So the writers obviously thought, lets mix Death Wish with a slasher film, and they manage to go a step farther by having the serial killer naked, hard to imagine Michael Myers or Jason Vorhees butt naked while there slaughtering teen girls,( then again that's probably a good thing, I just had a vision of Joe Spinell in Maniac, doing his thing tackle out.) And while Ten to Midnight is not as violently gory as your regular horror come slasher movies, but it is has an air of sleazy seediness as our handsome nutter goes around annoying women, and then killing them starkers...Of course no Cannon film is complete without a Chuck, and in most films they could be interchangeable, in this case we have Chucky Bronson, who seems a lot more chirpier than he does in his other grumpy old man with a gun, and in this case a badge flicks. It really is hard (no pun intended) not to be drawn to the killers bits, when he is doing his dirty deeds, its not that its flagrantly in the viewers face, its usually hidden by a pot plant or a marrow lying on a kitchen table, its just weird but mildly intriguing, feel sorry for the fools who only saw the pants version...
