The Orchard End Murder (1981)

A grimy mash up of the idyllic of the English village and straight up exploitation. The murder, which takes place in a large pile of discarded apples in said orchard is grim to say the least and the film on the whole quite disturbing.

This short thriller originally had a cinema release as the support feature to Gary Sherman's Dead and Buried.

I highly recommend the BFI Flipside release of The Orchard End Murder, especially to those who like a bit of Folk Horror which this film has the feel of.
