The Way Home by George Pelecanos
Crime novel from one of the folk that brought you The Wire.
A stupid punk kid grows up and finds stability within the world of routine. Sadly, ghosts from his past threaten to destroy all he has achieved. Told in a decently gripping fashion, and even if the ending is slightly flawed imho, twas still worth the read. David Bowie A Life by Dylan Jones
What another one? Told in a chronological fashion through "eyewitness" accounts (including the Dame himself), I learned something new about his family history, so for that reason alone , I recommend this to fans and non fans alike.
