Default MOVIEDROME ALEX COX/MARK COUSINS BBC2 1988-2000

Moviedrome was a British television cult film series, produced by the BBC and transmitted on BBC2 from 8 May 1988 to 9 July 2000. Its remit was to broadcast a selection of cult films each with an introduction, first by film director Alex Cox and later by film critic Mark Cousins. During its run, 207 different films were shown, including Witchfinder General, Sweet Smell of Success, Logan's Run, 200 Motels, The Wicker Man, La Haine, and All That Heaven Allows.

Loved Moviedrome.
My first encounter with The Wicker Man began here I'm sure in the late eighties.
I used to make a point of 'stoating' home from the pub on a Sunday night to catch it.
Not that I ever actually made it to the end of a lot of them.....
