So HOSTAGE wasn't so much a crime thriller,more of a kitchen sink drama with a crazy Kraut (laughably) forcing a young sheila to marry him,move to Germany,join his Neo Nazi group and hold up a bank.
All the while abusing and beating her until......
Based on an apparently true story,the usual Umbrella cover (in the tradition of a certain dodgy old video label) makes it out to be an exploitation classic.
It isn't,and is certainly not in the same league as the films mentioned earlier on this thread.
Worth a watch,but it's certainly no TURKEY SHOOT.
