The latest issue of Classic Rock (Out next week sometime to non-subscribers) features the summer of 1991 and focuses on a seven week period between August 12th - Sept 24th and suggest it may be the greatest period for rock albums ever.

Although i don't like all the bands or own all the albums it's difficult to disagree with what they say. Here's what came out.

Metallica - Metallica
Spin Doctors - Pocketful of Kryptonite
Pearl Jam (The issues cover stars) - Ten
Rush - Roll the Bones
Dire Straits - On Every Street
Tesla - Psychotic Supper
Ozzy Osbourne - No More Tears
Hole - Pretty on the Inside
Guns N' Roses - Use Your Illusion I & II
Primal Scream - Screamadelica
Pixies - Tromp Le Monde
Kyuss - Wretch
Soundgarden - Badmotorfinger
Nirvana - Nevermind
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Blood Sugar Sex Magik
