I am curious.
Although the original was an exploitation flick, I think (I know many disagree) that it was a very serious minded exploitation flick that rises above itself into something quite amazing.
Given this and the distasteful nature of the material, what will post-MTV Hollywood do to it? The poster for the remake is very low-brow with a tagline repulsive to anyone who has seen the original ("It's Date Night").
Will the slug slime of Hollywood make this even more exploitative, with none of the power of the original? Will the whole can of worms be opened again?
I am curious.
