A quick Moore top 7.

Live and Let Die (1973)*
The Spy Who Loved Me (1977)
The Man with the Golden Gun (1974)
Moonraker (1979)
A View to a Kill (1985)
Octopussy (1983)
For Your Eyes Only (1981)

The first four are all excellent. The final three are all very watchable and a lot more entertaining than anything since Casino Royale.

Spy Who Loved Me and Moonraker are my faves, then FYEO and View to a Kill. Not much for Octopussy to be honest, it's the only one I couldn't remember anything of even though I must have seen it as a kid... and I can see why.

I love "live and let die" because it has a strong blaxploitation black magic voodoo vibe going on, probably my favourite J.B film because it's fun and has a horror element involved, probably one of the least typical Bond films.

I watch From Russia With Love, Diamonds are Forever, Live and Let Die, For Your Eyes Only, Octopussy, The Living Daylights quite alot, was never keen on Thunderball and O.H.M.S.S. slowly warming upto The Spy Who Loved Me. Watched Quantom of Solace twice and still lost the plot.

You can't lose something that was never there in the first place.

I believe Craig tried his hand at the script to make it more coherent. There's that magic word again. Where have I heard that word used somewhere before?

As for Danny Boyle, I'm highly sceptical. I think he's quite overrated.

He is. It's a long time since 28 Days Later, Shallow Grave and Trainspotting.

Can't imagine that Danny Boyle will have any Bond girls with double entendres like Pussy Galore or Dr Goodhead, either
