I've never seen a Sonny Chiba film and yes I am extremely embarrassed about that, where's a good place to start?

I started with this classic Ant (as seen in True Romance).

Without a doubt The Streetfighter is where to start Ant - it's a classic. Mindbendingly good, extremely violent and thoroughly enjoyable. Highly recommended.

Awesome, will definitely check it out now then. I remember it now in True Romance (one of my all time favs), he takes her to the cinema to educate her on him. Cheers guys

I watched True Romance just the other day. He doesn't go to educate her...He first up asks a girl at the bar if she would like to go and she's like "You want me to see a Kung Fu movie!?" (or something along those lines) Then he goes to see it by himself which is where he meets my Hollywood crush, Patricia Arquette. I always thought it was weird though because the scenes they are showing when she arrives is actually in the very end of the movie. It's obvious that she wasn't there to see the movie otherwise she would have arrived earlier haha. True Romance is a good movie, I love Gary Oldman in that film...The one thing I can't get past though is that god damn repeatative music that plays 90% of the time...Those kind of african drum beats, It just doesn't feel like it fits into the movie to me.

Anyways... The Street Fighter definitely is a good place to start for Sonny Chiba. After that you can move onto Return of the Street Fighter then The Street Fighter's Last Revenge. After you have watched those...You can move onto the kind of spin off Sister Street Fighter.

Ohh, If you are okay with buying box sets anyone I recommend just picking up one of the Sonny Chiba box sets. You can find them all over eBay for pretty cheap!
