Default Mad Max!

It seems like the new Mad Max movie has taken the world by storm! Whenever I look on my Facebook feed, there's tonnes of people praising Mad Max and absolutely loving it!

So, here is a thread to discuss all things Mad Max related. From the new movie, to the earlier films, the stars, characters and anything else.

I haven't seen the new one yet but I am SO, SO, SO excited. I'm off to see it on Saturday and I cannot wait! I was lucky enough to watch the first two Mad Max movies in the cinema the other night as an awesome double bill and I fell in love with those films all over again.

Who's seen the new movie? What's your fave film of the series? Which character do you love the most? What's the greatest car in the show franchise?

LOVE the first two and the original just narrowly edges it.

Thunderdome is a great cure for insomnia, but that's what happens when the studio drongos get involved.

Looking forward to FURY ROAD.

I saw Tom Hodge (TheDudeDesigns) saying he was there opening night, and he was one of 6 people there. Not everyone is enamoured by it, me included. Mad Mel is Max, end of. Doubt i'll ever see this.

Like the look of the new one, although if it's all CGI shite then it's not for me.

That's fair but the general nature of the reviews thus far are overwhelmingly positive. I totally get how it's gonna be difficult to accept someone else in the role and I think I'd have a hard time doing so myself if it wasn't for the fact that it's still George Miller behind the camera. Although apparently he does vie for screentime and attention with Charlize Theron's character.

It's a lot of practical effects from what I've heard. Apparently it has a real sense of physicality to it

I'm looking forward to it. Been years since I saw the originals but remember enjoying the first one the best. Hopefully gonna catch this on Tuesday when it's only £3.50 at my local Empire cinema

Need to remedy the originals (first two) scenario mate.
They look astounding in hi def!

Tom Hardy was a good choice for the part, but look at the perf Mel gave in Expendables 3.

HE IS BONA FIDE TIME SERVED STARK RAVING BONKERS.

Yeah, gonna try to watch them before Tuesday if I can. Really in the mood for a post-apocalyptic action binge.

I also went to see the first 2 films at our local cinema and really enjoyed them, i took my other half, she hadn;t seen any of the films before and she liked them.

I chose the third film in the poll because i think Master Blaster is an awesome character and Thunderdome is a great concept but i must say i do fast forward the wild kids part of the film.

I look forward to going back to the cinema to see the new film, Gibbo is good as MadMax but i have room for another MadMax on my film shelf.
