Default Revenge movies

I'm a sucker for vengeance movies.

I love the unrated version of Kevin Bacon's Death Sentence
so frikkin' good and bloody!

Exterminator I - II and Vigilante are two other great flix

Exterminator II was released on BD in Japan a few years ago in R-rated version.
Why don't studios release the unrated version of this movie?
WTF, people wants to see the full uncut movies not R-rated crap!

So we also have rape revenge movie Naked Vengeance from 1985 directed by Cirio H. Santiago.
This movie in it's unrated version has never been released on dvd or BD.
In the US this movie was rleased in both R-rated and Unrated VHS.

Luckily I have the unrated version in top notch condition on NTSC vhs.

do we have any members from Arrow studio here?
Please get this awesome movie on your label!!
no-one has released this movie yet and it will probably not be released for many years?

Quite a few really I probably miss a few obvious one but here some of top my head .

Different styles of revenge as well

Last house on left
I spit on your grave franchise
Oldboy trilogy
Straw dogs
Gran Torino
Death wish
Kill bill
Ms 45
Babycart films
Assault on precinct 13
They call her one eye
Class of 84
Dead man shoes

Loads more but that's all I can think of at this precise moment .

Oh the horseman is a great Australian revenge movie
And I love Harry Brown as well great film .

Oldboy and Point Blank come to mind certainly. Tokarev would have been the last one I watched. Or that Ethan Hawke western. Argh.

I'll have a think ...

The new Eli Roth directed Death Wish get's a 3 star review in the Mail on Sunday.

Now a three star review is nothing special you may say and you're right...

...However this is the Mail we are talking about, not exactly Mr Roth's biggest fan in the past, so a three star review is akin to Oscar material elsewhere.

It's part of the link below but i've cut and paste the short review so you don't have to visit the ad filled page yourself.

Quote:
Despite at times looking more like an ad for the National Rifle Association or Donald Trump’s idea of the perfect date-night movie, Eli Roth’s remake of the film that made Michael Winner famous still has to go down as a guilty pleasure.
Yes, Death Wish is politically incorrect and yes, it’s difficult to believe that a highly skilled surgeon would turn murderous vigilante quite so readily, even if his wife had been killed by trigger-happy burglars.
But, hey, it’s got Bruce Willis shooting a lot of bad guys – what’s not to like? That said, in this era of the ubiquitous satnav, it will definitely make you think twice about valet parking.

A Quiet Place with Emily Blunt and John Krasinski is 'as impressive as it is terrifying' | Daily Mail Online

when it's eli roth directing the remake we can expect quality action and blood!
this will probably be a great remake

violent movies don't always get high ratings from movie critiques

I'm confident DW remake will be a blast to watch!!

it's too bad Eli Roth picked Bruce Willis for the lead role.
I would have preffered to see Henry Silva as the avenging exterminator killing lo' lives.
Mr. Silva has that mean look as a baddie, would fit perfect as Paul Kersey not Bruce Willis.

I hope we get to see the unrated version of this movie on dvd and BD

You do realise that Henry Silva is 89 years old.

No - Henry Silva would be all wrong in the part. Mind you, Bruce Willis is miscast as well

Paul Kersey is an 'everyman' who is forced into vigilantism. He should be someone you can pass in the street without feeling the need to cross the road to avoid him

Sam Peckinpah got it right when he cast Dustin Hoffman in 'Straw Dogs' - someone who is mild-mannered and nonthreatening who has to turn to violence when the circumstances dictate

ha ha ha!

yeah I know Silva is very old.
if the remake was planned to have been filmed maybe 20 years ago, Silva would have been 69 years old.
it would have worked with him.

there are no good actors nowadays to portrait the role of a hero killing scumbags!
maybe Billy Drago would fit the role perfect?
he's 68 years old and still looks scary to me!
