The release date for the first batch of Hong Kong Legends titles from Cine Asia has been revealed as 4th July 2011. The titles are:

Fist of Fury
Prodigal Son
Ong Bak
Warrior King

Ong Bak and Warrior King were of course Premier Asia titles and not technically HKL titles, but lookes like they're just grouping them all under the same banner.

A bit pointless if these are dvd only, lets hope some get HD releases.

Only pointless if you already have them. If you don't, titles like Prodigal Son can go for silly money on ebay.

Unless they're going to be BD release Ong Bak and Warrior King are strange choices; as they are pretty readily avaliable on dvd.

All (apart from Prodigal Son) can be bought on Amazon, Play etc for around £5 or less, unless these new releases have different special features which i doubt, it does seem a strange choice.
Cine Asia will not release HD unless they can get good masters which is a good thing when you look at some of the terrible HK blu ray releases of Hong Kong Classics.

Your damn right Stephen, titles like Dragons Forever and Wheels On Meals are ridiculous prices. I loved HKL when it was about before and no doubt will buy any title i havent got (especially if its on Blu ray).

I think it's just a case of them not using the Premier Asia title for what might just be a couple of the titles released under that name and grouping them all under the HKL moniker (since HKL and PA were basically the same company).
