In my opinion Coogan's Bluff is a great little film that always gets under the radar when it comes to favourite Clint films.

Certainly deserves a higher regard than it currently has.

Possibly because not many have actually seen it compared to his more celebrated releases.

I was quite disappointed when I first saw Coogan's Bluff a few years ago. I don't know why, but I just didn't like it that much. Maybe I have to rewatch it.

Greetings!

It's worth a repeated viewing. I would put it in my top five Eastwood films.

And the tv show McCloud was very loosely based on Coogan's Bluff.

Working my way through the big box set. Last night it was the Rookie. Bit of a b movie and was surprised at the language and violence being more extreme than the old VHS I watched years ago. Wondered if it was a bit cut on first release? Tonight it's Heartbreak ridge. Hope time has been kind to it!

Heartbreak Ridge is an all-time classic and my favourite Clint flick.

The Rookie was cut for it's '15' classification at cinemas but I assumed the '18' rated video was uncut.I don't believe The Rookie is available on stand alone dvd for some reason & can only be bought in the boxset or with an issue of the Clint Eastwood part work magazine.Same goes for City Heat & Pink Cadillac. We're also stuck with the shorter cut of Firefox here in Europe for better or worse.

Worked my way through my Eastwood boxset (With the exception of the recent Blu Ray's I've watched).

The man's a ****ing genius and legend.

Here's to another ten years Clint!
