Have you seen Clint's Invictus Nordy? I really enjoyed that.
Not seen any of the four films you just mentioned.

I really didn't care for American Sniper and actually preferred J. Edgar and, for all its flaws, Jersey Boys. As a rugby fan, I have issues with Invictus because some of the actors don't look anything like the real-life people they play and recognisable rugby players show up playing different players! Also, Morgan Freeman doesn't look anything like Nelson Mandela, so it's a case of suspending disbelief!

As far as I'm concerned, Clint Eastwood's best work as a director was Unforgiven.

The man's a legend.

Even when he stepped in front of the camera the last few times, the results were fantastic.(Million Dollar Baby and Gran Torino).

Even his last, TROUBLE WITH THE CURVE, about baseball which I have zero interest in, was eminently entertaining.

I'd agree with you about UNFORGIVEN being his best as director, it's pretty near perfect and one of my favourite films. So rich in character and depth.

I'm gonna come out and say it but American Sniper was one of the most appalling films I've ever seen

The worst of Clint's films in my opinion.
