So did you enjoy Play Misty For me?

Not bad for a first time director.

Not bad at all. The pacing is a little slow by the standards of today's thrillers, but the acting is first-rate and Eastwood does a fine job on both sides of the camera.

I've decided to try and own all of Clint's films released on DVD. I've got a fair few already but will start collecting after I'm done with collecting all of Sly's films (even though I'll probably never get Rhinestone).

That's quite an ambition! I'm not even going to try as I'm missing far too many and there are probably half a dozen films much higher up the wishlist in terms of priority and ones I desperately want to add to my collection.

Maybe, if and when they are all reissued on Blu-ray, I'll pick them out one by one but, if that is never going to happen, I might buy one on DVD every so often and build my collection that way.

Yeah, it will take a while. I'm going to do the same, make sure I have a list of what I need on my ipod or something and pick up the odd film whenever I come across them but the ones I desperately want I'll get online.

I don't need many for my sly collection, mostly his stuff before Rocky and a few things in between so it won't be long before I get started on the Clint collection.

I had the whole set of the Clint Eastwood Collection that were realeased fortnightly from Deagostini a few years ago. Sadly I ebayed them in a moment of cash shortage. Always regretted that.

The great thing is I've seen pretty much all of his films now though. One that I liked because it's so un-typical of Clint is The Beguiled. A nice dark little flick were Clint is a wounded soldier that gets taken back to a girls boarding school and has his way with pupils and teachers alike.

If we're talking favourites, it'll always be The Good The Bad & The Ugly. Least favourite, I'd have to say City Heat, a gangster film he did with Burt Reynolds was a real struggle to get through.

It's a great film and, in my opinion, is better than Flags of our Fathers.

Great choice. I recently watched Coogan's Bluff again. Another fantastic film.

Weird thing, I didn't like FLAGS much, saw em back to back and found LETTERS far more moving. In fact could have done without seeing FLAGS first.
