I have out for justice and the recent against the dark in the to watch pile, and like most of you here,i do prefer his older stuff.
Watched a double bill of under siege/undersiege 2 last week, the first one is an absolute blast, while the second was ok,and is notable for an appearance from a young katherine heigel.

I'm confused. "On Deadly Ground" is out on R2 in Scandinavia and Germany, but beware of older DVDs, which partially contained the shorter German "FSK 16" version, the same goes for "Nico", "Out for Justice" , "Under Siege 1 & 2" and "hard to Kill".

Too bad the Finns also got the UK DVD of "Marked for Death" with all the Ferman cuts still in place....

Super Happy

Imo Seagal couldn't put a foot wrong from Above The Law to Under Siege 2:dark Territory. Action classics all of 'em from the former film to the latter.

Out of the current crop of the big man's DTV potboilers only the enjoyable Renegade (Urban) Justice comes anywhere near recapturing the glory days of Seagal's golden period when the violence came thick and fast.

Stick with the old and (mostly) forget the new for me.

His latest-"Driven to Kill"- is supposed to be a "return to form"

...Then again, they said that about every 3rd or so of his output from the last 10+ years...so I hang a while around to catch the good word before grabbing that one.

As much as I personally love "On Deadly Ground" (and I mean that! My favourite guilty pleasure!), I've been really wondering what audience he was aiming at with "Fire Down Below" and "The Patriot", which pushed the boundaries of "ecological action" to new...errr.... "heights"

Nice one! It looked brutal, i'll def be getting that one!

Btw, I tried watching Mercenary for Justice earlier. I gave up after 30mins! He wasn't getting much screen time in the beginning & it just didn't feel like a Seagal movie!
