For my money only TWOTD and FOF are true Bruce Lee classics. TBB is decent for an unintentional laugh, not to mention the funky opening theme but that's about it. Whereas, ETD remains an enjoyable enough actioner but there's no way this film is the greatest martial arts movie ever made. Totally overrated imo. GOD is worth watching mostly for 'The Little Dragon''s stunning Nunchaku duel with Dan Inosanto but Lee's fight with Kareem Abdul Jabbar remains rather mundane and nowhere near as entertaining as it's reputation suggests. Good James Bond-esque John Barry score though with memorable opening and closing credits.

I rememeber my dad had a whole VHS box set of his films. It was a thing of beauty - a huge set in red. I remember watching them with him back when I was a kid. Time for a root around upstairs - they're probably in the loft still!

Anyone had this?

I had it. Every movie was cut to shreds; they did not allow Nunchaku's to be displayed back in the 90s in the UK and this is all Bruce Lee used.

Fists Of Fury he takes out the entire Japanese Martial Arts school with them, on the cut version its like he enters the Dojo and then just suddenly walks straight back out and leaves (not that bad but almost).

It was truly a great day when I walked into my local Woolworths and saw a dvd of The Big Boss sitting on the shelf, from a new company called Hong King Legends, and my eyes were drawn to the UNCUT sticker on the front. And the rest, as they say, is history!

Yep - that's the one. And it was still an 18 (I believe) - how things have changed!

Yeah I remember back in the mid 90s channel 4 were doing a weekly thing of best of the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s.

And for the 70s they had Bruce Lee and Enter the Dragon. And they discussed how badly cut the UK versions were due to the Nunchaku's and James Ferman's over reaction to some kids mimicking Bruce Lee using them with Toilet chains and injuring themselves or something.

I remembered thinking how I could possibly ever get to see the uncut versions given all the rest of Europe did not support UK style PAL VHS's.

And then DVD came along and it was such a blessing seeing those movies uncut.

Aahh, happy days for yours truly and i still have HKL's original blue coloured sleeve release as well as the subsequent darker cover. Also, the 30th anniversary sepia variant too.
