I've read that they are just releasing Shogun Assassin. However, word is that it'll be released in a 5 disc set (unconfirmed, AFAIK).

So that'll probably mean the SA sequels, ie. lonewolf & cub 3-6 with English dubs.

Personally, I'm happy enough to just go with the Eureka dvd set.

And a lovely boxset it is too.Eureka have given UK fans a real treat. There's a comparison over at dvdbeaver between the Artsmagic dvds and the Eureka set.The difference is staggering.

Just to add that the Eureka Shogun Assassin uses the same transfer as the digitally restored AnimEigo disc. So it looks great.

The Eureka also has the slight added bonus of not subtitling the 3 seconds of unrestored footage.

Stephen@Cult Labs 27th December 2009 11:19 PM

I wasn't sure if Eureka used the same transfer as the AnimEigo disc.when it said the AnimEigo was a rebuild using the same transfers supplied for the the other films by toho,i would have thought that SA would look as good as the other films? it doesn't.

Yeah - not sure what happened there either.
