I quite like that film. Lots of good action. Not one you'd ever list in any sort of western top ten but still pretty decent...in a Young Guns light sort of way.

The original 1936 film was better though if not as action packed.

Stone Cold (1991, Craig R Baxley)

"Papers? YOU want papers? We got these ...."
William Forsythe auditions for Ministry. Human slab Bosworth resembles a Jeff Stryker wet dream .

Firestorm (1998, Dean Semler)
Remarkably silly film. Forsythe seethes once more whilst channelling Mike Patton (if ye squints a bitty ). Howie (who he?) Long paraglides into forest fires. Chuck in a prison break ... voila!! Highly recommended to lovers of third tier flicks.

Best Of The Best 3 (Phillip Rhee)

From the sedate theme music and pastoral imagery of the opening, you might be forgiven for thinking you had accidentally picked up the tale of a wandering Asian American in the mid west . Luckily there's a racist enclave headed by R Lee Emery nearby so it's all good really. They murder the local lib'ral preachah ... and after a few mild kickings, a 'chink' beats them hands down . Highly recommended ... SBU etc etc.

Exit Wounds (2001)

Where do I start with this? The SBU opening? The hilariously tacked on 'romance' ? The rather cute take on physics? .
Heavyset hardman struggles through many obstacles to achieve his aim of defying gravity at will. The kind of film Cannon would have made. That good Speaking of which ....

Walking Tall (1973)

Joe Don Baker has retired from wrastlin'. Lotsa fuuun as JDB batters his way to redemption. Quite violent for the period. The homespun eulogising does begin to grate, but there's alus another setpiece a-comin' ...

The Perfect Weapon (1991, Mark DiSalle)

And where's this been all my life? I sat agog. Violent maniac discovers an outlet for his aggression when he finds a figure from his past in dire straits. Cue lots of kicking. Lawdy Thomas it's violent. Highly Recommended.
