Watched The Expendables on blu on mate's 42" Hd tv. Meh. What i wanted was high octane thrills, all i got was occidental bromance, with some cgi gore. I wonder if i watch Crank 2 backwards whether itl be more fun that this....and Sly looked like a sack of tatties tied in the middle.

All in all it certainly wasn't Yor

Me either! And just if anyone's interested, it looks like the order of the films is now 1,2,4,5,6,3 and 7 (when it's filmed).

I just watched Dark Knight Rises...thought it was terrible. Loved the first Dark Knight, however.

The NEXT action movie I'm watching is Deadly Crossing with Steven Seagal. Comes out in Redbox this Tuesday.

It's supposed to be on par with Under Siege and I'm a HUGE Seagal fan

Rurouni Kenshin (2012 Japanese movie), which is based on popular manga "Samurai X". Stunning action scene, excellent.

They should make Deadly Crossing 2 and put Sly in it as the bad guy or something. He can't be better than the bad guy in Deadly Crossing 1, though...he was something else.

Okay, I actually watched this a year ago, but only just finally got around to uploading the review. It is from Greek director Nico Mastorakis who after the video nasty Island of Death, moved to the US to make a small series of lowish budget, but well produced (think Harry Alan Towers) films. This is a pretty typical example, lots of explosions, lovely women, Brian Thompson in the lead and Oliver Reed and George Kennedy in support - yet it never really clicks. Could have used either a lower budget and more gratuitous nudity or explosions, or a better storyline.

On the plus side, in the UK it is on Hollywood DVD, so dirt cheap and has a clean anamorphic print.

A full review, with pictures of Oliver Reed's epic mustache - Hired to Kill.
