Days Of Hell aka I giorni Dell'inferno (1986). 23rd Century dvd. OOh, its awfulness (the print) only surpassed by the terrible terrible everything else. Must watch it more often...or pull my finger out and get this Commando Leonard everyone was raving about a while back

Okay then. The second Expendables was everything that the first failed to be imho.
Stafam kills about 30 henchmen on his own for a start, decent opening set piece, Van Damme pledging allegiance to Satan etc etc.

The less said about the 3rd installment the betterer

The Last Line Of Defence (1999, Phillip Roth)
Oliver Grunier kicks a lot of Mexicans whilst searching for aliens. Shit blows up and ting. Dourif and Ernie Hudson stand bemused. Quasi Massive Attack vibe to the ST. Set resembles one from Dr Quinn, Medicine Woman . Not a patch on Nemesis.

Nemesis was great - although the last time I watched it was in the 90s but in the straight-to-video market it had rare ambition. I do also think it may - and I stress that word! - have kicked off a fashion at the time for cool opening credits that would slide along the screen. Or am I making that up?

You are probably right with that. It came in a box that also had Space Fury .... a Michael Pare favourite of mine. Now there's a right load of tosh. But I love it

Under Siege II: Dark Territory (1999, Geoff Murphy)
When Eric Bogosian and Everett McGill steal a train in order to hold the world to ransom .... thank gawd our husky voiced hero is on board. Just as bloody bonkers as its parent.

Rapid Fire (1992, Dwight H Little)

Ridiculously violent in places in that safe Hollywood way. So whilst 'morally' it's a vacuum ... it is also rather super. Lee Jr boots his way through scuzz of various grades ... with ease. Powers Boothe provides able support. SBU.
