Default Machette Kills

I have the 1st film on Blu and really enjoyed it even though they wasted the Seagal roll in making him do nothing but sit behind a computer. It was everything I expected - throwaway cheesy fun. So when I saw Machette Kills as a trailer I have made sure I see it at the cinema soon.

Now it has came to light that the BBFC have rated it a 15 so what are your thoughts on the film Machette and if you have seen it - the sequel

I'll be the spoilsport here and say I hated Machete. In fact I only saw it for the first time recently on Film4 and was really looking forward to it but I just found the film boring and overplayed. I know the film is a parody on 70's exploiters - and that's not an easy thing to get right, but in this case I thought they blew it. Planet Terror did it so much better...

I saw Born to Raise Hell the other day. He used a stunt double for walking scenes . He did seem to do the fights himself, he had a sex scene and actually kept his body armor on.

Truth be told the film wasn't that bad in comparison to some of his recent efforts.

Machete Kills has opened in the US with $3.7m on 2538 screens.

Machete debuted with $11.4m on 2670 screens.

Really poor returns. It'll need good word of mouth it seems.

I can't wait to see it, love the first one, despite all the hatred on here it seems.

I don't think its hatred, certainly not from me anyway.

Disappointment is a better word. Going off the Grindhouse trailer it should have been so much better.

Drive Angry and Hobo With a Shotgun got it right, Machete didn't.

Yeah, maybe hatred was a bad choice of word. HWAS is fantastic, not seen Drive Angry yet though
