Default COBRA 1986 George P Cosmatos

Crime is a disease.Meet the cure.

To celebrate the release of COBRA on French Blu Ray,I thought I'd start a wee thread.

Whilst not going to win any thespian awards,COBRA is the kind of mindless action we all enjoy with a few beers,or when the latest torture porn epic is getiing just a tad tiresome.

Full of classic quotes and a sly pairing of two actors from that original,bad-ass cop movie,Dirty Harry,COBRA is OTT action at it's best.

-'I ain't no psycho.I'm a hero!You're lookin' at a ****in' hunter!I'm a hero of the new world!'

-'You're a disease-and I'm the cure.'

And another thing-that souped up 1950 Mercury Monterey!

This was shown on TV the other night. I have always have had a soft spot for this and other 80's action flicks. I believe the UK video was cut. I presume the recent BD releases are uncut?

Love Brian Thompson in this, I cannot possibly see how anyone cannot like this movie.

Favourite scene has to be the scene where Stallone is sorting out his kit while the Toys are Us advert is on; don't know what it is I just love the way that scene was setup.

Check out these badboys that Warner gave to some video shops as promotional material in the 80's when the tape came out. I'd love some of these.
