I think their reasoning behind special packaging for this release is that it's a well-loved film and they wanted to do something cool for it. At the moment I don't think they have any future plans for titles to have a similar treatment - at the moment they're just going to see what the response is to this one.

Fair enough and a good point made. I'd never heard of Almost Human so I'm looking forward to seeing this, along with the other future Shameless releases. I refuse to buy any though because I'm like a tub of Pringles, once I pop I just can't stop and I really don't have the funds to get the entire set. Anyway....

Yeah that was my first reaction - but now I think that the lenticular sleeve is kind of a fun idea - which means I suppose that I have the correctly deranged sense of humour for more films from Shameless!

See my avatar for what I'd love to be the reverse artwork.

You really do have to hand it to Shameless on the innovative marketing of their dvds.

I always thought the original Shameless distinctive yellow boxes, spinebuilder and so on, were a very clever piece of marketing. Then we have the yellow Blu-ray cases and now this!

Kudos to the Shameless team for doing something totally unexpected and off the wall with this one. Never having seen the film before, I'm really looking forward to picking this one up, wibbly wobbly cover and all. Brilliant

I couldn't have put it better myself -- I love the Shameless spine builder set, the Bronx Warriors tin, the new artwork on Fulci's Box of Terror and now this lenticular card cover. There'll always be something distinctive for people to consider buying in HMV and other high street stores.

I sadly have to admit, I don't like the cover...
Especially considering how many awesome artworks that most likely won't make it now!

Sure, it's a fun cover but... oh well.

I like the first one but I cannot put into words how much I utterly despise that idiotic, Marty Feldman-look-a-like abomination of a cover, I really, really hate it.

Anyway! More artwork, surely for the love of all that is good and wonderful in the universe, one of these will be chosen over Marty :

And yeah, I'm going there again with my own "Night of the Demon" -

^ DO IT!
