Nothing is missing from the Arrow disc, and it looks bloody good in HD too

Just hoping fall of the house of usher and time bandits turn up early as well, emailed arrow but the still waiting on there dispatch company.

It's worth the wait, I've already watched it twice, once with the excellent commentary, Savini is on top form

I posted some notes on the German DVD a few months ago on the blog, including some screenshots of the brain-scooping scene and you can see how grungy it used to look. There's also some stuff on the German-DVD extras which differ from the latest Arrow Blu and are interesting and at times slightly wacky...

I watched the MGM dvd again last night which doesn't have the brain scene in it.

If its true the film makers didn't like it i can kind of see why. It happens quite early in the film and spoils the build up to the two main set pieces - the dinner table and the final gutting kill - having the most extreme sequence in the first third.

You can tell where the cut is as the music suddenly stops when Cobb puts the dead skin mask on.
