I've seen the missing gore footage on the Tom Savini featurette on Blue Underground's Deathdream DVD, it looked pretty rough to me.I can imagine if they inserted that footage into a nice looking 'cut' print of the film it would stand out like a sore thumb.

You'd rather they released the cut version?! No way.

They could easily do both via seamless branching like the US My Bloody Valentine BD or Shameless' Four Flies BD

Yes, excellent suggestion.

Assuming the BBFC no longer require the cut to the film that the Exploited VHS suffered (the slicing of the final victim)..

PS are these releases confirmed as being blurays?

That's extremely unlikely to be honest.

Not sure if its bluray or not, I hope
so though.

I'm pretty sure they are blu rays.

I can't see Arrow doing any more "seamless" branching any time soon! haha

I have to say, I've never heard of either of these films, so they're definitely not day ones from me.

Apparently Arrow announced via Twitter it'll be BD.

No? They're actually rather well-known, dude...

Saying that, there's great joy to be had when introduced to treasures you've never heard of, no? That's one of the great things about companies like Arrow and Shameless! Day one for me.

Nice to finally see a UK release for 'Deranged' as it was banned for ages. Another Ed Fein-inspired classic (can't think of a more influential serial killer when it comes to the movies!)

I bought the German DVD not long ago so I can't justify the upgrade this time but it's great Arrow are putting it out
