The Arts Shelf – The Fall of the House of Usher (Blu-ray) (Arrow Video)

"With alluring visual and a superb performance from Price at the centre of the piece, this sumptuous Gothic horror proves an opulent, atmospheric joy. Another must have release from Arrow Video. Very highly recommended!"

Granted I got them a few days early but I paid a few pound more for them both direct from Arrow. Was very surprised to see my HMV had them both, never mind at that price.

Steel Time Bandits and House of Usher at HMV Southend for £14.99 each. Very surprising price and even the guy at the till thought they were cheap.

I bought both the steelbook and regular because I love the art (sometimes more than movies themselves). So upon watching this film for the first time ever I was very impressed. The film is marvellous piece of cinema. It is visually stunning with a look of a film with a huge budget. It is a very atmospheric film which kept me glued to the screen. When I close my eyes I keep hearing Vincent Price over and over, such was his performance so great. Hope for more Roger Corman from arrow as I have heard there is more as good as this.

Transfer and packaging both excellent. This is why I love arrow
