Good interview that. Promising to know that Arrow are keen on releasing every Bava film.

Yeah Paul this is fantastic news and also it looks like Arrow are at last ranking up there with the likes of Criterion.

I love that he mentions how bad Tenebrae and Suspiria look on Blu-ray, I so hope he gets to sort them out one day.

Perhaps I'm easily pleased because I don't think they're too bad at all.

You're either easily pleased, or the way your TV is set up/processes video hides some of the problems. Lucky you, is all I can say

Wasn't there talk of a HD Master been struck for Blood and Black Lace? Either way I'm fairly sure an Arrow release would trump the previous editions, this is a film that deserves to be seen and treated properly.

I wonder if Arrow would consider remastering Tenebrae? Maybe the materials they were given weren't all that hot to start with? There is a possibilty that Suspiria might be up for tender again, it's a few years since the Blu release and Shameless haven't put it out like they did Amsterdammed and Laughing Windows so Arrow could possibly secure the rights in the near future.

I actually watched Tenebrae again this evening (it's my favourite Argento). It is uneven I'll give you that and if I allow myself to be distracted in some lighter scenes there is this weird grain that's not grain effect...but the night time scenes around Cristiano's house with the Doberman chase etc look stunning. Whilst it's not flawless the flack it gets continues to puzzle me.
