This all-new artwork for Macabre is going to split people a touch more I reckon. Looking through a lot of old artworks for exploitation films they often are rather more 'inspired by the film' tenuous flights of fancy. With Macabre the kick here is more a possible comic book take on it all - look at the cake - that's pure EC!

Anyway I've always rated Macabre and thought it a shame it never really had a chance to shine on video or DVD in the UK (at least not so you'd notice!)

In Macabre a woman devastated by the death of her lover moves into a boarding house where the blind landlord soon begins to suspect that she’s resuming her passionate affair with her dead lover! The landlord’s quest to find out the truth propels this simmering claustrophobic thriller into a chilling climax and a late night raid on the fridge that’ll cure any snack addiction!

Now I have to admit that is ****ing sweet artwork. Very good job indeed. :woot:

I like the film, but can't make up my mind on that cover. Maybe it will grow on me.

It took a while to grow on me I have to say - out of all three it's the most outlandish and cartoon-like. What I am excited about is finally some attention being paid to the artwork of this film - it's always been a bit neglected I thought.
