Arrow Video - The Trailer Reel!

Anyone who collects old UK videos or indeed remembers the rental days will recall the sometimes fabulous trailers you'd get at the beginning of a tape.

One company - Thorn EMI - used to run 30-second trailer reels done as ads for the company back in the early 80s. Cheesy, yet wonderfully fascinating, they've always been amongst my favourite teasers. :)

Arrow Video have bravely (or insanely) decided to go with my idea to try and recreate the look, feel and style of these old teasers (with some updates and an AV spin) for their forthcoming three new films.

Only one person could of course make this a physical reality - Mr Marc Morris - he patiently went through my awful brief and came up with this piece of absolute nostalgia magic! Oh and it does tell you a bit about the range too!

Excellent stuff! A wee trip down memory lane.
I remember the Thorn Emi trailer reels well. The Dead Zone featured the trailers for BLOODBATH AT THE HOUSE OF DEATH and CHILDREN OF THE CORN.There was another montage Emi used to use, which ended with FIRST BLOOD.Anyone remember that?
Oh,and that Arrow logo at the end of the trailer is great.Very eighties video...

Brilliant ! .
This wouldn't look out of place on an old pre cert vhs / betamax tape.
Thats true 'retro cool'.
Almar and Marc I applaud you both on a fantastic job.
