Is there no chance of a normal DVD reissue of DAWN Almar?

If you do decide to its really worth it reaper, the blu-ray versions of John Carpenters The Thing and Halloween are fantastic in my opinion I didnt think older films could look that good (and I only have hd ready not full hd)!!!

I cant wait to see what DOTD will look like on Blu-Ray if its anything like the other films have it should look jaw droppingly good!!!

Super Happy

I'm currently buying Blu-Ray titles (some British releases and U.S. region free imports) but have yet to invest in an actual player as i'm waiting for the prices to come down and i'm focused on obtaining a multi-region model. No U.K. only players for me!

Looking forward to Arrow's Dawn Blu-Ray and great news concerning Day getting the same treatment!

There are very few titles that are region encoded - I've been more than happy with my PS3 and have got what I want on BD though I'm waiting for a decent version of Let the Right One In; apparently the UK release, which was going to be the best, has some problems with the picture.

Another good reason for buying a BluRay is the Upscaling of SDVD to Hi Def.

One thing though, some of the entry level players have been surpassed in tech spec as some are older models , so the upscaling abilities wont be nowhere like the mid to top range players or PS3,

That Sony for £180 you got sounds like it was a good buy Bio.

My mate bought a entry level player ( £149 ) from a brand i'd never heard off , and as he expected its settings where a bit basic & limited, but the playback was below average imho compared to the PS3, using Casino Royale as the comparison disc, but it really was poor in the extreme when it came to Upscaling SDVD's.
In the several sdvd's we tried there was little to no difference than made by upscaling .

He returned it and paid £40 , no sorry £60 extra and got a Sony entry level model and you could immediately notice the difference for the better when we done the same comparrison test as before.
I think its best to go for well known brands at entry level for the best results as although all players will playback in 1080p, the playback quality and upscaling abilities vary greatly in some brands.

The only problem I encoutered with my sony was with the Terminator 2 Skynet Edtion blu ray not playing and that was easily fixed with a firmware upgrade I would recommend the BD350 to anyone looking for a not too expensive player I got mine from richer sounds

To keep on topic will the Dawn Blu ray have a high def audio track?
