Always loved that image since I picked up the directors cut 2 VHS NTSC in the states many years ago.

This will fit nicely in my collection!!

Can't wait to buy this. I've held off buying the current Blu-ray version in hopes of a better release of it... looks like that's paid off!

Oh one thing I've just noticed... you said that Argento's cut is not up to scratch so won't be in HD... but in the specs you've posted you've also got the Director's cut as being on a DVD and not in HD.

Is that right?

That's a bit disappointing if it's only the Theatrical cut in HD.

I think thats right eiren , i think that only the theatrical cut was up to true HD standards .

Its still a great package though.

I think it's a disappointment in the fact that there's already a Blu-ray of the Theatrical version, and that most fans will already have DVD versions of the other two cuts and the extras... so this isn't looking like as much of an upgrade any more.

All films were shot on film (therefore HD), so can Arrow not source the prints from elsewhere that are in better shape?

Like I said a few posts before, I held off buying the current Blu-ray in hope of a better release with the other cuts... so was hoping this would be clearly better.

Sorry to be the pisser on the parade, but it's got to be more than that in this day and age. Here's an example of why:

At least the audio shouldn't be messed up on the Arrow release -thumbsup-

Beat this into submission please Arrow:

I think the thing to be remembered here is that Arrow is targeting the UK market. With that in mind, it's a great package. It's certainly a cut above the Anchor Bay US release that only features one cut of the film - at least this is presenting Romero's preferred cut in HD and you get the other versions on SD DVD as a bonus. I'll be having one, anyway.

Also, I presume Arrow will be utilising the already available HD materials of the Theatrical Cut - so to commission HD presentations of the other versions could be a tall order when you consider how small the UK market is.
