Golden era Fulci on Blu Ray is very welcome indeed! I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that, due to the visual textures and the gel-lighting of this movie, it should benefit even more from the HD treatment than Dawn of the Dead...

With this and the BD of Suspiria in January, 2010 is shaping up to be great for Euro-horror buffs!

Every print of City that I've seen has had heavy grain and those that haven't I've heard have been too bright. Will this not adversely affect a BR release?

What's the chance of a documentary of some kind? I have contact details for the guy who represents some of the actors if that could be of help Almar. I'd love to know more about this movie as it's a classic

That's good. I already got the Anchor Bay release but it's a tad vacant as extras go.

An I'm proper pissed with HMV, they screwed up my order with The Bronx Trilogy box set so definitely won't be ordering from their site again. Think I'll get COTLD from Amazon or a store.

Just want to chime in here and say my own positive words about Mike Baronas - a real saint among men!

I just saw the Blu Ray (R1) of The New York Ripper too - a sterling job in HD for that ol' misogynistic slasher outing.

Let's hope more Fulci gets this turnaround in the UK!

Mike did a documentary on Lucio Fulci last year where he interviewed loads of his clients (Italian actors and filmmakers). It was okay but only for die hard fans. He needs to do one that has more of a narrative flow and get permission to use images from the movies as it was really baron without it. Still, an admirable effort

If every print has had heavy grain then I would expect the BR to have it as well (at least I hope so,wouldn't like to see any DNR used to remove it)
