The Glasgow (GFT) & Edinburgh double bill! Fulci and a Last House...!

Hey all,

Just wanted to say that anyone in Glasgow might want to be in the vicinity of the GFT (Glasgow Film Theatre) for a cool litte Friday/ Saturday of double bills in March.

On Friday March 12 we're going to present Ti West's HOUSE OF THE DEVIL with LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT, which we're dubbing a "don't go in the house double"! The good news is that Last House main man David Hess will be in attendance for a Q and A with the audience and an autograph signing afterwards.

All this for just £10/ 8 conc (both movies).

With thanks to Cult Fiction Movies (www.cultifctionmovies.com)

Just to confirm in advance, David will be charging a small fee for signatures, but he'll be hanging around after the movie to socialise with the fans irregardless of if you want his scribble or not.

Then on Saturday March 13th Arrow Video returns to the GFT with a dazzling double of THE BEYOND and CITY OF THE LIVING DEAD. Giovanni Lombardo Radice will be in attendance for the latter movie - speaking about his many genre titles with the audience.

This is the FIRST time Hess and Radice have ever been in Scotland - and it is also probably the only time you'll have the chance to get any of that House on the Edge of the Park signed by both stars.

For those in Edinburgh:

The city's horror themed Jekyll & Hyde bar (112 Hanover St Edinburgh) will be SHUT OFF on Sunday March 14th to non-ticket holding customers.

Why?

Because after the GFT event we'll be bringing David and Giovanni to the pub for a night of horror fun! As well as movies screening in the basement (where the Edinburgh B-Team hold their weekly Monday events), Hess will play a set of music - including from the Last House soundtrack - and generally hang around and drink with/ greet/ meet the fans.

Giovanni will be doing likewise.

Cult Fiction will also have a stall where they will be selling some ace import DVDs whilst a free buffet and bargain-priced drink offers will be promoted.

Evening kicks off 6pm - 1am.

Tickets are priced at £6/£5 concessions - and you can order online now at Tickets Scotland (please be aware, I've been told that - as of this morning - tickets are going fast for this unique event).

The Jekyll has taken the decision to hold something quite unusual here and I hope people will support them!

Flyer below.

Just to confirm, a certain Mrs McColl should be present for the Fulci double header...

And that's the entire line up.

We will attempt to have everything wrapped up by 11pm mate. I'm sure, however, David - in particular - will be happy to move on to a nearby bar and socialise with anyone who wants to say hello. I know he loves meeting his fans.

This is also Catriona's first appearance in Scotland so let's make her feel welcome. :coolblue:

Looks like the last train back home is 12:15am so I believe i'll be able to make the screenings at least.I missed out on the last event and don't intend to miss out again!

Is it just me or is it a coincidence that since City of the Living Dead is being released on DVD, The Beyond is being shown too :suspicious:?

There's treachery afoot! Possible DVD release?
