See for yourself

If not working just google 'Inbetweeners Fish Punch'

Maybe Youtube as that problem scene from Inferno too?

That's bloody offensive. Was it real?

That's much worse than the cat 'n mouse.

How can they let that go and not Argento's.

another thing to say to the BBFC in Inferno's defence I believe.

It has been said before but, I'll say it again, the BBFC don't govern what is shown on British TV. They are only responsible for films at the cinema and released on DVD/BD. If you have a problem with The Inbetweeners, then contact OFCOM as they deal with the content of television and radio.

The US PG-13 was introduced after Temple Of Doom. The uproar over the violence in the film was the reason the certificate was created.

The first PG-13 rated film was Dreamscape, though Red Dawn was released before it.

Probably because it's a TV programme and not covered by the BBFC. However, when the series goes before them for classification (for a probable DVD release, I imagine) then I would expect it to be cut. Or not. If they do cut it, then it can never be broadcast with that scene again.

The BBFC are an outmoded institution who have only just held their held their above water in the internet/DVD age. The porn industry and the introduction of the R18 catgeory has been a lifesaver. A couple of years back, I think it was, the BBFC said they'd made over a million in revenue - mostly thanks to porn submissions. You only have to look at the 'recent decisions' section for video to see the sheer volume of R18 material that is submitted. So for all their previous moral crusading (mostly under Ferman) it's somewhat ironic that hardcore pornography is now so profitable for them.

I really hope they seriously reconsider their decision to cut Inferno and maybe Arrow do have some evidence that it wasn't staged for the cameras. I could be wrong, but I'm sure I read somewhere that the cat was on set and kept coming back with animals to play with/feed on and so one day they filmed it for inclusion in the film. My memory's a bit vague, so I could well be wrong. Not sure where I read it/heard it either. Anyone else familiar with the filming history of Inferno? Maybe someone else can confirm or correct me on this point. Anyway, it'll be interesting to see what the BBFC come back with.

EDIT: Ah, the 'fish punch' was passed intact by the BBFC....the filmmakers must've either shown it was faked or the BBFC simply have no regard for aquatic life.

Yep that's right. The last showing of Roots contained the cockfighting scene missing from video/DVD releases. They also often show films containing horsefalls that are cut from UK home releases.

Zone Horror additionally televised the uncut Blood Sucking Freaks which would definitely have BBFC problems if submitted.

If Arrow have proof that the scene wasn't staged for the film then there would be no reason for the BBFC to cut it and it would have a strong chance of being waived.
