I would definately buy these, i know Demons 2 isn't a patch on the 1st but i still enjoyed it in a trashy sort of way, it's still better than a lot of abominations made i recent years, why not release them in a blu ray double package that would be cool

I've got the Anchor Bay re-issues of both Demons 1 & 2, not sure if I'd buy them again tbh.I might just be swayed to buy the first movie again if the extras were good enough.

Expect some good new extras for these - although Lamberto is filming his new project through until May so he likely won't be involved. We've done our best to make up for that though and these should still be really solid editions!

Don't expect classic Italian Genre action, Demons is more goofy fun. Having said that, Demons is one of my all time favourites.

I file it under Heavy Metal Horror. The soundtrack is a ripe mix of cheesy 80s Italio-Electro and golden era studs 'n' leather metal (Fast as a Shark by German Beerhall Metalheads Accept being the one to listen out for) and it's a total splatterfest.

Great characters include a black pimp who seems to have based his entire performance on the old Babycham advert:

(look out for the guy who says Hey I'd love a Babycham).

A couple of really wet looking Eurotrash bimboys who tie their sweater round their shoulders.

Director Michele Soavi as a silver masked mutoid.

A brace of early 80s issue post-apocalyptic punks

What elevates the film is the movie within the movie, where the violent action onscreen in the cinema is reflected in the auditorium, it cleverly edited and really works.

I was thinking of buying Demons 1 & 2 ages ago from Amazon, but since Arrow will be releasing new DVDs of these films I think I'll wait !

I love both Demons films and would definitely snap up Arrow versions in a second.

I already have the UK Platinum releases, but will probably be trading these as I have also recently got hold of the Raptor Dance of the Demons Digipak.

Kudos to Arrow again on these, and even though they may be a while off, I can't wait to see what Rick whips up for the covers!
