I thought as it was now 'official', we should have a thread.

The burning question: a blu or not a blu? ;)

Reading the tale end of the COTLD thread it looks like a no at the mo, but we can but hope. :pray:

I have the EC, AWE and Grindhouse release of this, it is my favourite Fulci flick, and I'm still looking forward to seeing what this release will be like as it could have massive potential, especially when considering what is already available. :thumb:

Unfortunately something has cropped up which means that the proposed release date of February 14 has had to be put back four weeks to March 14.

Ok,I'll throw in the 1st £100 for a new Blu-Ray master.Who's with me? ;)

I would love it on Blu though, its one of Fulci's best.

Hell yes! I'd sell a kidney to see this on blu (maybe not my own). I think visually, this is the Fulci that truly is deserving of the treatment.

Saying that though, I do understand the economic situation of doing this might not make it possible, so I'll happily double dip for a good DVD too (which I know Arrow will do). But damn, a blu ray of The Beyond, that's really a dream come true for me.

My fave Fulci film. can't wait to see what extras this has, hopefully a stonking new transfer as well.

This is the Fulci film that's probably most worthy of the Blu-ray treatment in terms of profitability. If Arrow were the first to get this out on Blu-ray they'd sell a shedload globally. This title would undoubtedly be a commercial success on Blu-ray. There's already some incredible SE's out on regular DVD so to get an edge on the competition Arrow should seriously consider going Blu-ray on this beauty.

With the talk in the COTLD thread about whether a HD master of The Beyoned exists or not....

I'm not that up on the technicalities of things, but the Grindhouse edition of The Beyond on the sleeve boasts that it's a HD transfer.

Is this not the same as a HD master? And if its not, can you have a HD transfer of a non HD master?

I was just waiting for someone to make this thread. I'd love to see a blu for this and can't wait to find out what the set will include. The artwork for this should be stunning.

its not scary AT ALL but its very atmospheric and all round creepy movie :)
