And it's even perfectly in line with the movie's intended wicked irony, as the title "Tenebrae" means "Darkness", yet all the horror is shot in white, bright locations or in broad daylight.

I would definetely pick up the DVD, it wouldd be my fifth DVD edition of "Tenebrae", but as you can probably guess, I have a particular fondness for this flick, which- so far- hasn't really got a definite release on the shiny disc.

Contentwise, I'd be very much for an all new audio commentary, by Calum or Alan Jones perhaps, as the existing ac is for the most part an endurance test in guessing what's actually been said.

A feature on the literary works of Mr. Neal wouldn't hurt either.
No seriously, a portrait of Anthony Franciosa in some form would be appreciated, as even Argento basically dismisses his performance with his bland "He's just an actor" remark on the ac.

And that cover would have looked so nice with a nice peachy bum sticking through there! Nah I like the cover.Tbh I think it's the right choice,Simple (no offence to Rick) and understated, from probably the standout sequence of the film. What I'd love is one of those devices that you get in musical cards.Everytime you open the box,the music from the scenes plays Some people might get tired of that, but not me.

I have a thing for Japanese artwork too. I love their use of colour, no matter how subtle, and to me it captures the feel of a classic Argento film's cinematographic style perfectly.

Plus the Japanese market tends to have the most graphic cover art! They love the violence, don't they?

As "Tenebrae" is probably the film that got caught up the most in the mid 80's "violent videos" hysteria in a good couple of countries, a feature dedicated to the movie's censorship history, may be even showing alternately edited versions of scenes to illustrate what got cut in different territories, would be also singeling this out from all the previous releases.

A free pork-pie hat that proves not to be as secure as you think would be nice.
