This is really good news, I'd pre-ordered the Blu-Ray anyway, but thank you to everyone who wrote to the BBFC and appealed the case.

this is pretty much a milestone for uk audiences as it seems that the BBFC are finally listening to what people really want. Well done to Arrow and you guys for being persistant buggers....

I'm so glad that they have now passed it uncut as I really wanted to have this release and wouldn't have bought it if it was cut.

next up.... Giallo a Venezia ;D
^^ What Tanzi said , My thoughts exactly!

Congratulations and thanks to all who wrote to the BBFC!!
I still have not seen this film and look forward to my first viewing being an Arrow release!! (although I'll have to settle with good ol' DVD for the time being )

Against expectations we now have the following ruling:

"we've now waived the proposed cut and passed INFERNO '18' uncut with all previous cuts waived"

How incredible is that? Hats off to the BBFC but also a big thank you to everyone on here who helped get this decision made through carefully worded and considered e-mails to the BBFC - it proves it's worth trying, especially when done with skill, tact and reasoning - the BBFC have responded to that and that's to their credit.

Inferno will be released on DVD and Blu-ray in the UK fully uncut. Thanks to you.

Not to spoil the mood but I had to close the previous BBFC ruling thread on here because it was getting very ill-tempered - let's not return to that discussion in any shape or form - rather take the time out to bask in the glory of being... right!
Sorry to be so rude, but as we say in this part of the country.....you f*****g dancer!

This is great, and quite unexpected news.Well done to everyone who emailed the BBFC and argued so passionately their case for the cut to be waived.

Will do.Facebook will bask in the glory of the uncut Inferno.

Although I didnt write to the BBFC to plead the case for an uncut Inferno,I did just send them an email there thanking them for waiving the cut.Hopefully this bodes well for future interactions between passionate movie fans and the BBFC.

Default Congratulations

I'd just like to add my heartfelt congratulations to everybody who originally contacted the BBFC with their well-reasoned comments and objections about the original cut. I honestly never thought I'd see the day when a group of fans could convince the organisation to re-evaluate their decision and change their original classification. It's a tremendous achievement and full credit to all of you for putting in the effort to contact the BBFC with such level-headed missives about their original decision - maybe Arrow Films will put together some 'With Special Thanks to...' fans credits on the Blu-ray to show its support for the work you've done.

Absolutely amazing news! This is going to be a stormer. I had hopes but they were dampened by that earlier reply from the BBFC.. who would have thought.

So... should we start emailing about Cannibal Holocaust then?
